As the time passed by, more people from Asia came to Norway for different reasons, most of them were refugees, and some of them came on the ground of familyreunion and some of them on the humanitarian ground.

The increased number of people from this part of world, created a new market for products of their home country. This was the early beginning of Asian businesses in Norway. People who came to Norway found it more and more difficult returning back because they had families settled here. As well as some of them saw new opportunities to do business in this market this might not have succeeded in their home country because of hard competition.

Asians are hardworking people, and may even work for up to 20 hours a day. Most of them are honest, straight forward and like to help others. These qualities make them good businessmen. Furthermore their familymembers often help each other with out any regard to payment, which of course give them the benefit of having low cost of investment.

To begin with there were quite a few who started their own business, and most of them worked for norwegian companies. But as the norwegian economy has boosted, the number of people who establishes their business, have done the same.

Today there are far more Asians running their own companies in Norway than ever before and the number is rising quickly. There is in fact no statistics for how many companies are established by asians in Norway, but it is certain that the number is rising. This fact is also supported by the growing acknowledgement in the norwegian people for services provided by these "foreigners".

Even if most of the businesses are related to the food industry, there are a growing number of car dealers, IT-consultants, property dealers, etc. And some of the companies have gained a countrywide reputation, showing the potential lying within this segment of norwegian business market.
